What do you expect out of OC Brown?

What will he bring to the table? Opinions on what to look for. I really don't know much about the guy, only that he has a good pedigree.

From what I have seen from this bunch, I am really not expecting a whole lot. Maybe some more splash plays. With the 'weapons' on offense and the Oline problems, don't know how much difference it will make.

Opinions please

He will get the play in faster and you’ll probably see less snaps with 2 seconds left. I have heard rumblings that Reich would be slow with the headset which is why Bryce would have to check into something because he only got half the play.

More tempo and he’ll let Bryce cook.

Not too much difference, honestly.  As mentioned, some motion and maybe a few misdirection plays. I highly doubt he calls plays for Bryce to suddenly sling it down field a lot.  Remember, he helped game plan even though Frank called the plays.  To think it's going to look somehow like a complete new offense is an overreaction.

Hopefully more misdirection, motion and scheming to get receivers open. More use of Chubba as a pounding back. At 0-6, take the reigns off. At this point we have nothing more to lose than games, and losing it what this team has done best so far. I have a feeling though if we do so any of these things, Reich will step back in and enforce his old school offense because it's out of his comfort zone.

He won’t sling it down field a lot, we just want a couple times to keep the defense honest.

    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
    • According to Scott Fowler, in an article about former Panthers announcer applying for a job with the Ravens... what that job pays, incidentally, when the Ravens posted it publicly they said the salary would be $4,000 to $5,000 per game. An NFL season consists of 20-24 games, including the preseason and potential playoff games, so it will end up somewhere between $80,000 and $120,000 a year. The person hired will be an independent contractor, which is commonplace in the NFL these days for team broadcasters, and also have other radio and TV hosting assignments.  https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article315839800.html
    • That’s a good find. We will see. Who is still here from when he was?
