He is Mr. Invisible in run defense and can't cover worth a poo when dropped in zone schemes. 

Burns only value comes when he is paired with a dominant Edge opposite of him a la Reddick.  I was in the camp to re-sign Reddick but of course we didn't.  Burns is an above average Edge, not a game changer.

Tag him, trade him, just get the narcissist who is clearly deluded about his ability off the Panthers.  I can't stand folks who can't be honest with themselves.

I'm not a big Burns fan but his best season was easily last season without Reddick opposite

Yeah because Reddick wasn't taking his sacks.....    😂🤣😂

His sacks were up last season and in a contract year he regressed.  Great way to show he's elite.

It is perfect to have a new GM without any strings attached handle this. The “we know you could have traded him for 2 firsts…” argument has no bearing anymore. Any decision will be based 100% on performance. Tag and trade would be ideal. There might be a team willing to give a first for him, wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

New GM.  Hard to say what his future holds.  He will probably be tagged for a season.  I am guessing he might be traded if the Panthers can get back into the first round.

Fitterer--you should have had to take the Wonderlic before being hired.

Ah the good ol days when some of us were laughed at for being angry we didn't take the Rams trade. Now almost all of us are upset over that.

Anyway, when's that one guy coming in here to post his "averages" theory saying that Burns had much less chances for sacks versus the top rushers, thus would have had many, many more sacks if he had rushed as much as they did.

Fwiw this is actually what he means by that first comment, lol. He isn't trying to poo on the team in this context imo. We don't have a gm or coach yet

      I feel like anyone within the Panthers fanbase no matter where they land on Bryce should agree on this. He's a good kid. He's intelligent. But ultimately is he going to ever be the guy to command a locker room? Obviously none of us can say. But I just don't get any alpha vibes from him whatsoever. Is that a dealbreaker? Not necessarily. Here's the thing though. We had the talk of his generational years ahead of his age leadership trait clubbed over our heads for weeks nonstop before the draft. But after seeing someone like Sam Darnold navigate life as a starting QB I think anyone here should be able to acknowledge homerism there are some similarities to Darnold in terms of personality. That is not what we were sold. All of this takes me back to before the draft. I just can't shake the sense that Stroud just rubbed Tepper or someone the wrong way. Was he too confident? Not subservient enough? Did they feel Bryce was more marketable and media savvy? My gut says these things weighed more into the pick than they should have. If not. Stroud more than likely would have been the selection. What's done is done though. I'm just like you though. I want to see some fire from Bryce at some point this season. But I'm expecting to be disappointed considering his first order of business following one of the worst rookie seasons ever was to detach completely and do nothing. As always. Hoping for the best. I feel like I have to put a disclaimer at the end of this post for the Bryce superfans. I want to see him do well. I don't want this to end in the worst case scenario. There now we can be friends!

      I felt the Cam vibes on the huddle with Bryce, in fact its almost there. Threads that have no mention of young, turn in them.  Only deal is Cam had tons more supporters/nut huggers.  I honestly hated talking Cam with 90% of the huddle, in many eyes he was perfectly accurate with all his throws and if he had a legit great game the true haters were missing in action.   Cam board is now a Bryce board...
