Do you think we have a top 10 QB now?

He is a young talented QB who has now shown he belongs in the league. I hope we get him another weapon and see if he takes the next step. I feel much better about him being our QB next year than I did earlier. I don’t know about top 10 yet but I think he is still developing.

Are you telling me this is his one 5 TD game of his career & it's all downhill from here?

OR

He's a PB MVP QB who can CONSISTENTLY have 3+ TD games to carry his team to division championships & contend for the SB?

Eye test saids it's his career best game. They all have 1 or 2 of these career games. Will it take him another 30 starts to get his second? We'll be lucky as fans if he gets to the level of Steve Beuerlein or Ryan Fitzpatrick. That will make him an easy to acquire above average QB, but nothing worthy of what was given up to acquire an average to above average QB.

JFC dude. How many QBs have a career game every week? I mean, Bryce has had a few career games over the last stretch, though this one probably won't be surpassed by him in a bit. I mean if you are expecting 5 TDs from a QB to happen every other game or something, then no poo you are going to be disappointed.

And he deserves to be disappointed.

Not even close, but when your defense is this bad he’s no longer the biggest problem.

I don’t really trust him to come through in big moments. I feel like he could crumble under pressure once everyone is 0-0 next season.

I’m not really sure he can take over a game, and I think it takes less to make him look mortal than other physically gifted QBs.

While I don't know if he can keep up his recent performances and late heroics but he was huge under pressure over and over today. He put the team on his back and decided the only way to win was to outscore them and score last. What you can't trust was the defense and Bryce took over several times needing a score to regain the lead once again. He was the difference today no question about it.

If the FO can pry away Tee Higgins, Bryce might be a top 5 QB next year.

Spending the money it will take to sign Higgins, on a WR with a shaky injury history, instead of spending it on the defense that just gave up the most points in NFL history, would be an epically bad decision.

Yes, I've been a loud proponent of drafting T-Mac if available, but this has nothing to do with that.

Even if we use our 1st on a defensive player, our cap room should be entirely spent on the defensive side of the ball.  There are always good defensive players in FA because teams use their cap space to lock up offensive guys first, and they're more ready to help our defense than any rookies would be anyways.

For what it would take to sign Higgins, we could add 2 or 3 starters on defense, with at least one of them being a big splash signing.

To get him to come here, it's going to take Top 5 WR money, in no way is he worth that in a vacuum, let along once you factor in our defensive issues.

This. Its not gonna be worth it to sign any top receiver with the money we have. Gotta draft or develop one.

All good comments, both ways. My only point is he did this today with no real #1 WR, no starting 1000+ yard RB, his highest paid lineman out and a defense that had trouble stopping anybody. Give him at least a weapon (like Higgins) and a defense that can be at least middle of the road and he has the tools and a OC/HC that has some structure and play calling skills (DC has a way to go to be real good, but he did make Bryce better) to win and come from behind.

I talked with Bryce Friday afternoon. He just looks comfortable and more confident, which probably comes from structure. The more he learns this offense, the better I know he'll be. Consistency is greatness.

    • Well bois, we gave the Devils their due! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... The jersey boys have been trying to jack our steeze for a few years now. They've followed our blueprints and studied our tape. Every offseason, they pounce on our sloppy seconds in a Newark minute. Quick with the puck, ferocious on the forecheck and stifling team defense. Down to the colors, this is this closest we'll come to having to play ourselves in Ole Stanley's Hockey Hoedown. As the postseason began, Rod stood flexing in the gym mirror and saw this guy staring back from the void... (Shutters) When beating us at our game didn't work, Timo and the Tri-State Trash tried to tango instead. Outside of a bitchass cheapshot on Freddie, that poo didn't work either. Their goon squad was getting wrecked by our bantam weights. As much as we all wanted to see Svechy or Staal Bunyan literally break someone in half after the Great Dane went down, they didnt need to. Our munchkins were monsters! Jarvis obliterating giants at the blue line, Logan laying the Stank on dudes twice his size and Blakers blasting Timo into next season. It was beautiful to see! (Side note: Does JBlo wear lead weights under his pads? 170lbs shouldn't be able to hit that hard!) We closed it out in 5, for the gentleman's sweep. Only team in the league to win a series in each of the past 7(?) seasons! And, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year... Onto the awards: Key To The Series : 6 for 19 - .316% IT FINALLY WORKED!!! MVP : 16/180 g/s - .911 save% - 2.53 gaa Seriously, without this dude, we would've won in 3! (Trust me bro) 3rd Star : 6/94 g/s - .936 save % - 1.59 gaa The Great Dane   2nd Star : 3 g - 5 a - +1 - 20:38 toi/g - 18 hits - 3 bs - 58.1% fo 3 PP goals and the 2OT series winning goal! WOOAAAHHH NELLY!!!!   And, your 1st Star of the series : 5 g - 1 a - +3 - 16:48 toi/g - 16 hits - 1 bs - 1 tk - 50% fo Zero, I repeat, zero penalty minutes for the series! MISSSTAAAHHH SVEEECHNIKOOOV!!!!!! Onto The Next: Now, we wait for the Habs to make it a nasty 7 game slog, while we recuperate. And, hopefully, get Nikishin, and some of the other black aces some real peactice time. We are gonna need those guys at some point. Because, if you think the Devils were dirty, hoooo boy, wait till you see what's next...
    • I don’t watch college football anymore (used to be Stanford STH but meh), but my wife is Hawaiian and her favorite color is purple, so I guess I knew Tet was my new favorite player to root for when he came out in a purple suit and lei and threw up the Shaka.
