This time next year it will be Bryce Young

lol, you think I'm unrealistic about T-Mac's potential but you actually think Bryce can be a "blue chip player" next year?!?!

Even if I thought differently about Bryce (and I don't), he's never going to be a blue chip player, ever.

A "blue chip" player is an All Pro, a Top 2-3 player at their position, and I don't care what you think about Bryce, he's NEVER going to be a Top 3 QB in this league, ever.

To think Bryce can be a Top 3 QB is so much more ridiculous than if I were to say T-Mac will be the best WR in the history of the NFL (which I'd never be dumb enough to say anyways).

Hell, you could say Bryce will be a Pro Bowler in the next year or two, and that still doesn't qualify him to be a "blue chip player"

That said, if that’s the starting price for Garrett, the Panthers would have to give up their 2025 first-round pick (8th overall), a 2026 first-round pick, a 2025 third-round pick, and potentially a Day 2 pick in 2026.

For a team like Carolina that might be too much to give up for a win-now player even though he would take this unit to new heights. Instead, the Panthers might be better off using those picks to fill various holes in the draft or to acquire under-the-radar players.

Oh, HELL NO, if this is the cost, have these idiots not learned ANYTHING???

Old CTE Dan will continue Fitterer's awesome legacy if he does this.

Guys, we cannot win with this franchise.

Yeah i don't class blue chip as top 2-3 at the position in the NFL. I class them as cornerstones franchises build around

    • Ridley Grieg was handed a 2-game suspension for his sucker punch on Sean Walker during the Ottawa series. First 2 regular season games for the 2026-2027 schedule.
    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
