Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

I have no concerns about Tet's skills, and the Huddle would have said all these same things about drafting Mike Evans. My only concern is what we're going to do about our historically bad defense. Signing a couple DTs doesn't fix it.

I think this is a vote of no confidence in XL.

Tet has something that XL seemed to struggle with, and in fact most of our receivers room struggled with (besides Coker) and that's SURE HANDS. McMillan is big and catches like it's his nature. I think he'll be a great weapon for Bryce.

the plus I see is Bryce being the VET amonst young rookies.  He gets to be the leader.  VET WR's will try to dictate what they want, when they want it.  Good for Bryce to grow this way instead of trying to fulfill VET WR demands.  It's put up or shut up time for Bryce.

Lets not forget Canales and Idzik both coached WR. perhaps they already see how to maximize and have a plan. I mean he DID know what he was doing with Bryce! 🤷🏿

And xl?

Okay, but we didn't, we loved Evans and prayed for him to fall to us until it was apparent it wouldn't happen.

Also, this forum has been way better at rating draft prospects than the front office since Tepper has been at the helm.

Tyleik Williams would be nice.

Ez would be good at edge.

Remember when people here would talk about how little separation our WRs get? LoL I guess.

I think it's hilarious. Also they have learned nothing so expect someone next who won even play next year. Which edge is the most injury prone?

    • That he gets worse while at the same time getting more exposure is just typical.
    • And, yes, I've been a slow boil, but watching continually watching shitty displays of football for weeks has me frustrated.
    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
