They are doing what I would do---let Bryce beat you--throw blitzes and stunts at him. A checkdown is better than Dowdle.  By the way, I would also force Bryce to throw over the middle--he tends to throw bad passes there.

You don’t want him fighting off a sack with another player hitting him. Thats how injuries happen to nfl sized players.
