Somehow it took him the entire season to finally realize that Coker is #2...

Four years and 30 mil. No way! Maybe after another couple of seasons.

$7.5 a year for a good #2 WR isn’t bad, especially when that probably would only have 10-15 guaranteed as well.

Its more than his production so far is worth, but its cheaper than other quality #2’s out there and by the end of 2026 would probably look like a bargain.

It's becoming more clear that this team didn't really know what they were thinking in drafting XL because he's not a good fit with Bryce at all. We've seen it with guys like Thielen and Moore that you give him a receiver that knows the fundamentals of the position well enough, he can at least get production out of them. XL is the complete opposite, a guy that came in super raw and even now, struggles with basics like knowing where the boundary is and running the route correctly. That and he just seems to play slow, almost like he has to think about what to do rather than just playing naturally. Nothing against the man, but I find it hard to see how he's going to work out here.

To be fair these were known issues and his physicality was supposed to make up for all of it, we just haven't seen it since he was drafted. And he still looks the part by NFL standards so it's kinda crazy how the strength hasn't translated at all.

It’d be trivial to craft some contract with a dummy year or restructure or designed to be extended in two years. Bro needs to get paid, plain and simple.

He needs the financial security to hire a full time live in chef and hire a personal trainer.

It translates when he’s blocking. Having good blocking on the boundary is imperative when half the qbs passes are behind the LOS

It’s just not what you want from someone you traded back into the first round for.

That was a quick decision by Canales.

I figured he would need at least another season to determine Coker > XL.

Rams back seven is pretty….bad. But Coker was unguardable out there. Def a player who understood his opportunity and cashed in on it.

he’s have had another huge catch the third to last drive if bryce hadn’t thrown the ball out of bounds.

He has been out snapping XL, but this is the first game all year he’s played 90% of the snaps. We usually averaged around 65%of snaps during the regular season, and I bet most were from the slot.
