He is in no way a physical player. He should become one if he ever wants to be more than a meme tho. He’s blessed with a good frame and avg NFL speed, below average hands and instincts. Spends all game shrinking his frame tho, makes no sense.

I  think the fact that he goes down quickly if bumped by anyone Cheerleader size and above would seem to complicate his transfer to a more physically intense position.

Him being able to block corners is nothing close to the same as being asked to block D linemen or LBs. So no, he won't be a TE unless we line him up as a slot TE (which wouldn't be any different than him being a WR in all honesty).

I've never seen utter unawareness of the sideline at the NFL level prior to XL. It's not like a one tike one off thing, it's happened multiple times. What should've been easy catches turn into incomplete passed because he seemingly has no clue where he is on the field and makes no effort to get both feet inbounds. I mean, this is stuff that's just second nature playing sports before you hit muddle school.

XL in year 3 is now in full on salvage operation mode. 

A TE is the cerebral safety valve first down machine who catches everything and fights for the tough yards… so pretty much everything XL is not, unfortunately.

Only position that we could move XL to is Kick Returner.  Maybe.  

That being said, he still has a year to prove he can do something in the NFL.  If he doesn't, then he will likely be cut and get to try and prove himself somewhere else.

I don’t like seeing that either. The automatic jumping, whether you need to or not.

God Bless Mike Kaye - he called this disaster from the jump  "runs like he has pebbles in his cleats"

I understand the reasoning but I'd rather get a real tight end.  And, I'd rather XL play the position he was drafted to play.  Otherwise, replace him with someone who can.
