Our early leader drops altitude further in the standings, while the guy who knocked him off extends his lead. Lots of guys still very much in contention! Don’t give up now!

Week 8 Notes:

  1. Last week’s unanimous picks were Chicago and New England. Other locks were Houston, Cincy, Philly, KC, Pittsburgh, Indy,  and the LA Rams, along with our beloved Panthers!
  2. Upsets were Seattle and New Orleans (dammit).

Teams coming off a bye this week:

  • Atlanta
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Dallas
  • Tennessee

Good luck this week everyone!

You have me as a no pick for last week....go back and look again plz... definitely submitted my picks.

@UpstatePanther FYI - since just about everyone on here is copying your template, you have the wrong home teams for the TB@CAR game and the NYJ@MIA games.  Might make a difference for how some pick the winner.  Thought I'd help you out since you have enough on your plate, thanks again for doing this bro! :)

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
