If Robby had been playing for a team other than the Jets, he probably would have been playing like this all along. No one looks good when they've gotten to the Jets, particularly since, well, I was going to say since the days of Mark Gastineau, but you get the idea.

Undrafted, badly coached, Rhule came along and new what the young man could do. I was really wondering about that big pay day Anderson got, but now... I'm thinking that was money well spent for a WR1 guy.

Ted Ginn, Jr. though? Nah. Ginn certainly had his moments, but he wasn't able to be used on the entire route tree like Anderson has been. Ginn was purely a speed specialist and probably faster on the field than even Anderson. The hands and routes differences, though, lean heavily to Anderson.

Anderson was/is a way better receiver than Ginn. I have been trying to tell people even before the first game. Anderson showed enough flashes a couple of seasons ago to indicate that he was a star in waiting. You're doing him a disservice by comparing him to Ginn. He was always more than a one-trick pony! The Jets just suck and never explored his talent as efficiently as they should have. I have watched him closely going on three years now.

I was sold on Anderson back in 2017 when I saw him light us up in person with a couple highlight reel TDs. Jets wasted his talent there for his whole career up to this point, but he is on his way to being considered an elite top tier WR, and rightfully so. The guy is tall, fast, plays the game hard and big, can run any route in the tree. Such a huge pickup.

hard not to notice the comparisons. shifty, speedy guy, didn't do a whole lot and bounced around from team to team in the pros.

gets picked up by the panthers as an option guy and suddenly looks the part of a WR1. constantly open and catching everything that comes his way. his one-handed sideline grab was jaw dropping and the way he beats coverage on those drags and crossers is exactly how ginn dismantled defenses during his time here.

perhaps the best pickup we could've possibly made in the offseason. he may be here for a while.

Are you high?
