Yeah.. I agree.  Something seems amiss with him.

Not sure.

I may be wrong but I see a guy sitting in a room not wanting to not answer questions, which is what a pre draft presser is.  Spewing lots of words while saying absolutely nothing.  It’s a dog and pony show.  If we know more pertinent details about what they are thinking after the conference than we did before the presser then they didn’t do their job correctly.   Maybe he just didn’t want to be there which is perfectly understandable.

I want a left tackle pretty badly, and if we don't get one I'll be annoyed.

But I'm not gonna melt down. I'll do the same thing I do every time the Panthers make a move I disagree with and hope for the best.

That said, if a quarterback is on the board at 8 and we don't take him, I agree several people are likely gonna go apesh-t.

Of Course, we have to believe in their plan.  Whatever it may be.

If 5 QBs go before us than the real meltdown comes if we trade down because that leaves one of these players available. Pitts, Sewell and Chase

I think if those three are gone we'll trade down and let someone draft the last QB.

fug it, I went to several Dave concerts.  They were good times.  Rhule falls into that same window of time where it was a thing to go to them.

I've seen much better bands in person....and didn't have as much fun.

Went to a Dave concert as well and it was a hell of a concert!

They attract drunk frat boys in cargo shorts and golf shirts. Fwiw they’re actually very talented musicians (specifically that drummer is top notch) but they make some of the most soulless, boring music I’ve ever heard. I also cant stand phish.

I told a friend of mine towards the end of the season that I just think he’s in the NFL to A) get paid and B) set himself up for the next really big NCAA opening. If I remember correctly he wasn’t that interested in coaching in the NFL until Tepper and Marty pulled into his driveway and handed him 70 million dollars.

    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
    • They have all the rookies. The DC game has Ron though. With the new QB. It is weird.  pantherclaw, Bryce sort of is what he is, and in Madden he makes throws the real Bryce can’t make. Here and there. He ain’t ain’t a top QB in Madden though, lots of picks. aone of them lol was the throw that scares the hell out of me when he throws it, out to the boundary... quack quack.
