Trading up into the first round makes a whole lot of sense for Carolina especially if they want an LT.  It won't cost them that much.  This will also give them another player that they can have a 5th year option on.

If they can trade up for Darrisaw or Eichenberg I think you have to...you cannot put your eggs in the Darnold basket and not try to fortify the line.

They're not going to trade up in the first. They're all too chicken poo.

The front office are scared. Fitt, Tepper, Rhule are all trying to play the safest they can. It's why Horn was the pick. It's someone they evaluated to the point they knew what they were getting, and stuck with. It's a lot like Dave Gettleman's time in Carolina where he fell in love with certain prospects and made sure he stuck with them, telegraphing it the entire way.

If they trade up it's going to be mid 2nd and 3rd round for a prospect they're afraid won't be there, just like Dave Gettleman, unfortunately.

Could be looking to get Darrisaw if he falls far enough or Trevon Moehrig/FS who Rhule really likes.

I mean, a late first doesn't need as much assets and we get the 5th year option.

Jenkins, Leatherwood, Darrisaw, Radunz, a lot are there.

And people may not have realized but Rhule was chatting it up with Dillon at Lance's pro day.

Let’s hope the senior bowl coaching will pay off in a year of opt outs.

Didn't the guy with the hyphenated name from USC play tackle this year?  Is he projected there in the pros?  I've heard good things.

Edit: Nevermind he just got picked.

Regardless, whoever is there at the end of the first, I'm all for moving up.  Last time we went back into the first for a tackle, it was Otah, who had it not been for injuries, would've been a hell of a player.
