26 drops leading the league (by like 7 lol), 22 or so ranked oline and a god awful, inexperienced offensive coordinator

I didn’t say it wasn’t sam, I said it was only sam, I said it was the entire offense…and it is

There are several different variables at play here but the team goes as the qb goes and our qb inspires absolutely nothing on either side of the ball. It's time to end the Darnold experiment.

Sam is terrible and joe is calling a boring conservative game . This is our identity . No more excuses

I'm not saying either of those are false but Ians penalty and the hold on the drive before was more damning than anything else.

I'm not saying Sam's good, or Brady's game has been great but the Pats have had the ball 7 more minutes than us because they can run the ball with more than just their best player.

Our whole offense is bad. I've been saying this for weeks. We can't run consistently against anyone not named Atlanta. We have to pass it a bunch with a Shaky QB behind Shaky protection. We only have one proven NFL WR.

I'm not disputing the numbers, but he's been pressured on more than 30% of his snaps in 4 games, 28% in another, and I think last week is the first time below 20%... Jones for instance only has one (his first) over 30%...

I think it's a mix of needing to scramble, making slow decisions, and terrible play calls that don't create a quick throw opportunity.

If a quarterback holds the ball too long and gets pressured it counts the same as if an end comes unblocked and gets there in 1.5 seconds. Eye test shows pressure stats are misleading.

Teddy would be better for us.  Cam would be.  Pj is bad but still better right now.  This coaching staff is clueless.  I was worried when we rolled the dice on Sam mostly because Rhule and Fitt would keep trying and trying to make it work because they can't admit they were wrong.

You guys do realize just how bad PJ must have been in practice to not play?  Think about it.  What player has Rhule shown more loyalty, given more opportunities to?

Not long ago we used to say all we wanted the O to do was not turn the ball over... That's why PJ isn't playing

    • 1st period was a Masterclass on defense by both teams. About time for the Canes let’s keep it up.
    • Yes, it tells me they’ve improved significantly from sitting at what, 30-31st in the league on the PP to 11th now.
    • I wanted someone to hire him so we got the picks, but I'm also not upset that he'll now be back. I genuinely don't understand why so many fans on here dislike him so much.  No, he's not perfect and made some mistakes this year, especially at the end of the playoff game and going so soft in coverage on the final drive. But considering this place torched him all offseason for us having the "worst defense in NFL history" last year.  Said in the whole pre-draft process how we had to go defense in round 1 because of it and then complained the rest of the offseason that we didn't do enough to improve the defensive roster. How do people say all that about the defense and then complain when he turned that same unit into a pretty respectable defense this year.  They were really the only reason we were in a lot of games for most of the season, as the middle part of the season they really stepped up and were playing like one of the better defenses in the league. I don't see any reason we can't improve even more next year if we spend another offseason focusing on adding pieces on that side of the ball, which we should be able to do with our draft picks and cap space. We had the historically worst defense ever last year and people are upset because we weren't the 85 Bears this year, make it make sense.
