Overpriced - injury prone - getting (football) old looking for longer deal - poor work ethic

No thanks

He had 11 sacks last year and 2 forced fumbles.  He's going to want to get paid in Reddick territory, so it isn't happening.

this remaining cap room makes it more frustrating we did not re-sign Reddick. one of the most underrated pass rushers. a shame.

I have a feeling his numbers will crash back down to reality this year. His biggest reason for success was Burns.

Not that it matters but Pro Football Reference shows 9 sacks - wonder why it is different?

Either way there is a reason he has been on 4 different teams the last 4 years and is still on the market - anyone still available right now has a reason.  In his case it is an absolute heck no!  I have said it since he was drafted and he has proven to be not worth it for 8 years.

I really wanted former New Orleans Saints free agent safety Marcus Williams but he  has agreed to a five-year, $70 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

I suppose his high price tag was more than the Panthers were willing to pay.

U don’t think Fletcher Cox and Jordan Davis  could provide the same kind of assistance as Burns provided?

They should just hang onto that space until some vets get cut in training camp and beef up the depth on the roster. A bigger DE with run stooping ability would be nice. Not sure if Ioannidis is going to line up at DE or DT. Teams ate the Panthers run defense alive last year.

Yeah but we could only have one, Reddick or Burns, they just were both too small to have both. Got ran on at will last season.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
