Is there any reason to keep Robbie Anderson after this year?

Damn it.   Makes me hate fitt and Hurley even more.   No good reason to extend either of the two.

so we have to wait until the off season to trade cmac?

Yep. And it still costs about 19M then. Which should go well with the 20M hole that’s already been dug.

There is no way you trade CMAC for a first. He is the Panthers at this point. The man can do it all and you wanna give him up for another Derrick Brown?  Our roster isn't terrible. Seems like Snow is making our defense look worse than it should be and we are only an offensive line away from having a manageable offense if we had a decent Head Coach.

I like Robbie personally but as far as production goes it's common sense he is not what we had hoped for and if not for the Temple connection we never would have brought him in at all. I remember when we thought wide receiver was going to be a strength for the first time in many years. We do have some talent there but it isn't helping we have so much incompetence on staff.

Our receiving corps is pretty bare bones at this point but he's definitely not worth $22 million. He's either a candidate for a contract restructuring or a cap casualty. The problem is replacing his production. TMJ showing anything would really help make the decision easier. Ultimately I think maybe you add a year, cut his base salary down and turn it into a 2 year $22 million deal. That way you have a neglible effect on your cap compared to cutting him outright and we don't have to be desperate to replace him. If he refuses, then cut him.

a bunch of us said that playing thr Saints with our salary cap on a bad team was not a good idea. well here we are.

My biggest question for the new staff is will they just eat these stupid cap decisions to just get it over with or will they phase them out when they can while makeing the most  due to how all the cap was just being pusbed back on a bunch of guys who the new staff probibly won't want?

Our cap specialist is someone that can GTFO with Rhule while we are at it.

    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
    • this one is gold:     Bryce has a cult inside the Panthers fanbase that has truly developed some NPC hivemind. I'll never understand how he's captured the true essence of the casual fan like that.
