The Carolina Panthers are Idiots

Yea we are talking a first rounder in fuging 2025 people. With a competent coaching staff we should be competitive by then.

In any case it’s also mind numbingly shocking how stubborn Tepper is. Like you see what’s going on and still think you need to be involved in things without ANY help. That is batshit crazy.

What does it matter that the picks are 2/3 years away?  We are not in a win now mode and next year looks like more of the same, why not have a clear plan mapped out for multiple seasons?

I have no idea why people give a sh!t about the picks not being in next years draft.

With our dead money and QB situation there is no path to victory next season. Next season at best will be what 2011 was with Cam and Rivera.

Having 2 1st rounders in years 2 and 3 of our QB’s rookie deal is a lot more ideal.

The ONLY person this didn’t benefit was unfortunately the person who got to make the final decision… Fitterer

Honestly half the nfl is mad because they didn’t acquire the players they wanted from the panthers.

The number or DJ and Burns jersey swaps people made showed that these players are wanted/good players.

And the media too. I can't remember how many times I heard talking heads say they need to go get DJ Moore from Carolina.

People really want draft picks 2 drafts from now for our best player on D? 24/25 draft picks

In hand is worth more then a maybe. Why trade a good young player just to hope to find a good young player?

DE is a premium position, everyone wants 1 or 2.

Burns' situation is the one to more closely monitor and we haven't necessarily shut the door on any front yet.  If a long term deal isn't made, he could very well be dealt in the offseason.  Who knows, maybe he gets lucky on a sack streak and his value goes up in a more competitive market after this season.  Just don't "Peppers" the situation.

I don't see any way, given the eight ball they are behind, that the Rams picks are mid to upper 20s of each round.  The most likely scenario is they are going to be drafting no better than the middle of the respective rounds, and in 2024 and 2025 quite possibly in the top 10-12.

They essentially sold the farm to win last year.  Hats off to them, they did it.  But they did so knowing full well what the price would be when the slide started....and the slide has started.

The irony of their offer is as good as Burns can be, I don't think he is their magic elixir to extend their run.  Unless they think he is going to help them hold teams under 10 points every week, their primary problem is the other side of the ball.

How many times did we say there was no way the Saints could fix their cap and be good again next year?

It's just a matter of how smart you are.

You just have to chuckle at people who think that with Burns and Moore we'll compete next year. Because at this point, now that the trade deadline is over, that's all we have. At lot has to happen here in order for those two to make a difference next season.

Huddle: Stop signing FAs! It's such a gamble! You build through the Draft!

Also the Huddle: Three extra first round picks AND an extra second in Drafts to come? HELL NO! All we need to do is sign some FAs and we're golden in 2023 ... once we draft a late round QB and hire a good coach (which still might be Wilks! keep pounding!).

If you are going to use all of the radical comments on the huddle to support some type of argument why not use :

"Rhule is going to figure it out"
"PJ is our QB of the future"

"Derrick Brown is a bust"

I said soooo many times I wanted Micah Parsons. I felt he would be the next Luke for us.

Anytime you can trade a LB for 2 1sts and a 2nd you do that without hesitation.

We need DE's, true DE's. Not 3-4 outside linebackers.

Been saying this since last year. He’s going to mess his career up by not getting with a team that’s running a 3-4. He’s not cut out for the Peppers/Rucker role we want him to be.

I dont understand the concept of "Trade 2 first round talents who are established in the league for 3 first round picks."

Trading DJ would kill our cap situation and give us 20million in total dead cap. Trading Burns creates a huge hole on the roster.

Trading Burns gets the team 3 high draft assets that could have been used to trade up for a QB prospect or draft rookie talent on cheap deals. Would have also freed up the money to pay him. Burns isn’t worth what the Rams offered it’s really that simple.
