How are you feeling after the first preseason game?

Only concern I have is the starting OL struggling, but we saw last year they can play.

I think it's definitely fair to be disappointed in getting shut out at home, it does suck. However, it's the first preseason game and the offense was EXTREMELY vanilla. Reich said the staff really doesn't want to show anything which is understandable. 

Im kinda worried about the RG spot, like they have to get that cleaned up and the O-line HAS to be better. Not only in the pass game, but they are struggling to create lanes in the run game. I'm ultimately in wait and see mode. 

I'd just like to see better effort next week.

I feel like this is the physical manifestation of the 'it may take some time' reality that some folks so vehemently talked down on. There are fans that really set themselves up for big disappointment and it's not necessarily because things suck, because who knows how it will all come together, but it may simply take at least this season to fully turn things over.

Hopefully things come back down to Earth a little bit and a broader definition of success can be realized.

Not too early to be concerned, way too early to be worried. Our o-line was a strength last year and we will basically have the same starting five minus Corbett for awhile. Reich is going to lean heavily on Sanders and the run game and let Bryce work his way into it.

and our defense looked bad against an offense that had been playing them all week. You can say that about both teams. Expectations got too high for most of us though. Tepper has never owned the Panthers when they had a winning record. Probably a trend that will continue. He has to be one of the worst owners in the NFL based on winning percentage. We could still win the NFC South.

I mean I'm not going to lose sleep we have just been bad for to long at this point. But I still expected more.

Reading a lot of these posts, seems like most fail to under preseason football.

It's preseason. Cam Newton's rookie preseason wasn't stellar yet he ran out the gate with 400 yarders the first two games.

2015 the Dolphins had their way with us in preseason and joint practices. They looked by far the better team at the time. Panthers ended up 15-1 in the regular season while Dolphins were poo.

We dominated preseason the first drive in 2016 vs the Ravens with Cam Newton marching downfield. That season we ended 6-10 with abysmal WR and oline play.

Vanilla plays, vanilla concepts, glorified practice that everyone learns from and where certain things are tested since it's largely meaningless. 

Not concerned whatsoever.

It’s about seeing who wants to be on the team.. skills and the coaches working on executing the game.. game 1 preseason.. not a great outcome!! But something to work on
