I don't think that should be a big surprise. The damage done to our roster the past 2-3 offseasons is gonna take some time to unwind from. And that is ignoring the damage done the couple of offseasons before that.

It's genuinely been a minute since we had a great offseason. That takes a toll on depth more than anything.

Agreed. I’m wondering if we are keeping a lot of starters out (or playing them briefly) because of the depth concern.

Apparently you didn't get the memo. It's no big deal. Our guys aren't upset at being embarrassed. At least thats what the homer patrol says.

I just don't get how any fan and can see this and know our history and just calmly say "it's just preseason" like we are just going to flip a switch or something. We've been Panther fans for too long to know how this usually ends lol

Fitterer has avoided a lot of heat because Rhule was such a clown. I’m not sure he shouldn’t share more blame for some really awful teams.

I agree. I have been skeptical but I won't pass any judgement on Fitterer until Rhule got canned last season. Everything since then is all him.

So if the patterns stay the same....

Bruh!! I've seen Collins, Beuerlein, Lewis, Weinke, Peete, Delhomme, Clausen, Newton, Bridgewater, Darnold and Mayfield in new offenses with coaches that were rookie HCs. This is at the bottom for all preseasons. They are running max pro in the preseason.

This is the definition of a team that is not prepared. That goes for all new coaches and systems. You need to watch some of the other new coaches, defenses, and their rookie QBs in preseason. This is awful.

Right I get that… if they have their schemes together they aren’t wllling to show it during preseason.. they  don’t teams already pre planning on us!! I am trying to be positive!! But Ekwanu and the line needs to get it together

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
