Burns doesn’t think he teams top priority. Also thinks he should be paid among top edge rushers

The one thing that was done right after the huge dropped ball of not trading this guy was not signing him to some huge contract. Earned it before the season? GTFOH. You had every opportunity to go get your fat paycheck and put up your worse season since being drafted.

I wouldn't bother trying to tag and trade him unless had already worked out a deal with another team and he was aware of what was going down . You may not find a buyer. If we don't want to pay him $30 mil per year, why would we expect someone else to after an 8 sack season? Then we could be stuck with him on a big 1 year deal and go an entire season with him "playing scared" again. Or, Burns could decide to hold out over the tag issue and create a messy preseason distraction.

Id be ok just let him walk. We might be able to get a 3rd round comp pick for him in 2025.

1) he should be the team's top priority...finding a trade partner that will give us at least one 1st rounder.

2) if it will help sell him, then yes...i'll call him a top edge rusher in the league and i'll keep a straight face doing it. i'm that good.

Bingo. His deal was more on potential/youth than anything else.

I went to FSU, so I'm a burns fan, but we need to just tag and trade him and be done with this.

I love Brian Burns but he would be amazing if we have a Julius Peppers opposite him.
He just isn’t the main event.

I like Brian on a personal level I've defended him over the months here and Scott Fitterer was a bumbling buffoon. But it's best for him to move on. We need to pay our real leader on defense Derrick Brown whatever he wants and keep it pushing. Too many other needs.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
