McCarthy is 100% gone which is brutal for us. Another team to compete with.

We were never getting the 'best' candidate.

The roster is a mess. We have no QB. Our owner fired a guy after half a season. This is not an attractive destination for people with options i.e. Harbaugh.

It's going to be about fit, which is why they should definitely hire the GM first and let him decide who his HC is, then get out of the way for 3 years and let them work.

I used to be of the mindset that if you draft a good QB, and hes got what it takes, he will be fine starting from Day 1 no matter what, and that sitting guys for a year or two to develop just delays you finding out if hes the guy, but I have to say, the way that GB seems to find good ones and develop them behind the starter is something that seems to work. Either they are very good at identifying QBs or they have some secret sauce.

For sure. But these things can have a snowball effect. We were never going to hire Bill, but let's say the Cowboys do. We know the Falcons want him, now they have to pivot and their job is clearly more desirable than ours.

Seriously, we gotta talk about how the packers just replace great qb with great qb every 10 plus years. Its really not fair. Lol

It's a QB assembly line

Also they don't need to ride there vet into the ground past there prime, which is why both Favre and Arod finished there careers elsewhere
