Morgan's job is to get the coaches their guys. I wonder how Evero felt about Luvu and whether he had any say in the matter. Or did Luvu not like our system or was it all the money?

Luvu hasn’t made much in his career. He’s getting older. Don’t blame him for getting the biggest deal he could.

Evero has to be shaking his head.

they better extend brown now

To be honest i wouldn't be surprised if he is next, i mean if a team is offering a crazy good package....why not??  Brown cant carry the defense and the team isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Thats the reality. You passed up a good ass deal for burns to have to settle for something far less now. Can a team like this do that twice??

This team has made every move so far as to tank.

If they think they can play hardball with the few players on the team that have any talent they're wrong.

The Panthers are the new bottom feeders, the new Browns, the worst team in the NFL. The only way they can get out of this position now is to somehow become a good scouting team.

It's bleak. This franchise has nothing to offer free agents but overpay to possibly torpedo their career.

Don't forget, Morgan was a LB---he knew that Luvu was a gap shooter--and for every tackle for loss we saw him get, we got gashed when he guessed wrong.   Morgan knew what he was doing here.  Give him credit.

Or Morgan has a very specific idea on what a LB should be and lacks the ability to look beyond that.

oh well, who needs play makers on defense when we have Ian Thomas locked up for more years. 🤷‍♂️

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
