My one and only mock draft

I am firmly, 100%, on the Mykel bandwagon.

Lock down the run game. Develop the pass rush moves, which are not as bad as people say here.

He doesn't need 15+ sacks out of the gate to be successful. 7-10 with strong run game impact would be a great year one in my opinion.

Our run defense would definitely take another step with Mykel, but I’m not sure he’ll do much in the way of rushing the passer. But it is him, hopefully it’s both.

At 8, you don’t pick to “take another step”. You pick to set a fuging stone.

Take Warren. You can pick up the former Coastal NT who began his career there as a Tight End in the second round. He will do just as much to help the run defense as either of the Georgia guys.

Take Restrepo in the 3rd if he’s there, if he’s not, take Skattebo. Then you’ll have Tush Push with Cam and Warren to go with your new NT who was once a TE.

Williams seems like a target if we were to trade back. I think everyone would riot at this point if he was the selection at 8. Im not even sure I have him inside my top 20 players in this draft.

For everyone saying Warren, I don't think he will even end up being TE1 in this draft. Loveland is more talented of the two.

    • "I'm not stunned," Hansbrough said. "We talked about it at halftime, you asked me 'you have to be pretty happy.' And I said, 'No I've seen this story before.' I've seen this happen. They just had some lapses in games where they just go still offensively, defensively. Their competitiveness just drops a little bit. They never step on anybody's throat. When they have a team with a little bit of a lead, they never step on the throat. It's been something all year." The only disagreement I'd have with Hansbrough's assessment is that it's not limited to just this year. It's been Hubert's entire tenure. Hallmarks of Hubert's teams are: streaky shooting, streaky focus, running your starters into the dirt because you won't sub, and absolutely embarrassingly bad plays put of timeouts. It all points straight to the coach. When the roster keeps changing but the core fundamental issues keep recurring, it's not the players.
    • Leafs are broken. Out of the playoffs and Matthews done for the year.  It's either a very dangerous game against a team who doesn't give a fug and will leave it all on the ice, or a team who's thrown in the towel with an effort to match. And, yes, I'm sitting in the Miami Airport waiting on my next flight. Will be back in Lenovo both 28 & 29 for the b2b.
    • I’m guessing this counts as top 30 visit.
