(PFF) Sam Darnold while in a clean pocket

I know it’s PFF, but this is something I’ll believe them on.  It’s basic stats and clean pocket is simple judge off of

That feels AWFUL high.... I swear if not for jerseys it looked like Sam never leftd the Jets (OL-wise).

Yeah, he looked okay but it was still preseason. If he performs like that against the Jets, it will be a sign that we might have something.

Good numbers.  If his production continues along those lines in those situations it will bode well.  Sam can't control the protection he gets, but he can control what he does when it's there.

Darm good it seems. If 17 of his 25 attempts were with a clean pocket that would suggest perhaps the offensive line was actually better than it seems.

No. Closest thing would be a 2nd yr. UDFA CB who might play NCB a lot.

Let’s not overreact to a preseason game where the opposition defense had about half its starters in the game.   Until we see what he does against an aggressive defense in regular season we have no idea. My bet is he is somewhat the same as he was in New York….once a QB starts seeing ghosts under pressure it’s hard to get that out of their mind.
