This is pretty much true.  The Panthers in most seasons are like this.  You can tell in the first quarter because we continue to lack coaches that can adapt to the game.

This one has potential to get REALLY ugly if the offense continues to be absolutely inept. Could be 42-6

If we are this deathly afraid of Sam turning it over just put in PJ and let the chips fall where they may. This is worse than the 2010 offense.

The entire reason Sam is playing, and why our offense is operating like this, is because Rhule would rather run 3 times and punt, not turning the ball over, than risk a turnover even if we can move the ball some... Imo anyway. PJ will push the ball and throw more INTs.

So is the goal to throw the ball back to the line of scrimmage? Horrible calls/decisions whoever is at fault. Maybe should have started the healthy QB who took all the first team reps this week. We could have benched PJ if it wasn't working out, Rhule can't bench Sam again or it'll look really really bad on the staff

    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
    • Cos he looks much better?
