I don't know that at all.

I'm not a fan of him, and I wasn't a fan of this trade, but I wouldn't guarantee he's going to be terrible.

I think he'll be good enough for us to bring back especially if we win enough that Rhule can point to "The process."

...if the commercials start again...we'll know hes not serious and will show in his play...he'll be gone..no hair off our azz...

Huh?  Baker’s always left it all out on the field.  A man can do commercials and still play football

Continue the current shitshow until the curtain closed on the Darnold era, either by seasons end or his being usurped by Matt. Draft a qb and sign a vet to round out the 3 deep and go from there. It's going to take a miracle to change the trajectory of the dumb ass decision to sign and start Darnold. Throwing mediocrity at this thing is just prolonging the inevitable.

I believe, with this move, the Darnold era is officially over.

I'm not sure what it prolongs.  They are both gone after this season if Baker isnt good.

Preseason rankings don't matter.  It's how they performed throughout the season.

At the end of the season they had 2 probowlers on the OL, and according to PFF,  they were 8th because of injury, but the starting five were among the best in the league.

The point is still the same, whether it top 5 pre-injury or top 10 after injury  with 2 probowlers, it was a very good OL...period.

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
