Prediction : Joe Brady is a low scoring loss to Atlanta away from losing play calling responsibilities.

Is he supposed to catch balls for the receivers? Sam has been missing throws and receivers have been dropping decent throws. I'm not trying to completely absolve Brady of any and all blame, but we could have an absolute prodigy at OC and it wouldn't make much of a difference with the way our players are executing. All the OC can do is out them on position to make a play. At the end of the day the players still have to make the play.

Execution isn't all on Brady but it seems that players are out of position frequently and I wouldn't be surprised if they were sometimes running the wrong routes (this has been commented on once in a while in broadcasts).  It doesn't seem that Brady is properly preparing the offense at all. Sure, Darnold makes EVERYTHING worse... But still.

It makes wonder why the hell they didn’t get a vet NFL coach as an assistant to help guide the chess game they would be having against other coaches.

It’s like they all collectively didn’t ever consider the adjustment aspect of game planning.  Their clueless reaction to the past few weeks are telling to this.

He should’ve spent a few more days fishing with Jimmy Johnson.

It turns out that Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, and Jamar Chase are really really good and the players you’re coaching may matter more than the play calls.

Prediction:

Panthers will continue to have the same mediocre players at the most important positions and no matter the coaching from Brady or Rhule…until it gets fixed they’ll be mediocre.

Get a pro bowl caliber QB, LT and maybe Brady’s play calls look better.

It's not even his fault. Sam is so bad he can't even take the layup plays. There's no way for Joe Brady's offense to work with ghost brains at the helm.

So why does he refuse to run the ball to at least prevent interceptions? Royce has been averaging 5-6 yards a carry and can't get on the field

A single LT ain't going to do much for this OLine giving all the trash on it. More like a center and guards since the whole interior on our line play like they are ghost, people go right through them no problem.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
