When did you figure out Rhule was a fraud?

When he was hired I went and watched videos of him speaking. It was then and it was obvious he was full of BS. I cheered for him the first year anyways but he proved it completely in the second offseason. He fleeced Hurney and Tepper for so much money and is wasted 3 years of Panther football. Fug him

Quite early, actually it happened when a C he coached in college (Sam Turnburg) something like that retired form the game of football after his senior year at baylor till he got a call from his coach saying come join me ... by the end of the year? He's starting for our Carolina Panthers to finish out the year lmao

...here are just several thoughts of mine regarding Matt Rhule's performance yesterday against the Cleveland Browns...

A).. yeah I think Rhule should have  let Brady Christensen start at LT & slide Ickey inside to LG where he belongs for the time being if nothing else allow him time to develop his game or at least before throwing the kid to the wolves &  lining him up against freaking Myles Garrett for the first time.so yeah once again he's got these two players turn around for the time being which is no surprise at all whatsoever with how Rhule has handled the oL in the past..

B) ...& who freaking calls a timeout & let's the other team change their mind & decide on kicking a Fg when the opposing team initially appears to be making a mistake by going for it on 4th & goal with what like 6 or 7 yards to go if I remember correctly...

C) ...when an offense that is flowing & clicking on all cylinders why take your foot off the gas near the goal line and settle for a Fg instaed of a touchdown that would have giving your team enough points at that time in the game to go ahead and pretty much secure the WIN...

D) & oh my goodness the leader of men the head coach walks around in a state of confusion with that look on his face where he is either usually standing there with his over sized one size to big wrinkled shirt hanging out & mouth drooped open glancing around startled or either he's grinning at you like some sh%t eating possum for I have no earthly clue why he thinks he needs to stand there & be grinning at you like that in the first place? ...

E)... & then that silly Qb competition in training camp between Darnold & Mayfield that caused his starting Qb to miss valuable reps in a new system was one of the things you noticed in yesterday's game with the fumbled snaps...

F) ... oh the list could go on & on & once again on since in fact it's just a one big vicious cycle of incompetence week in & week out pretty much for the most part on a regular basis..Rhule & Teppers relationship reminds me an awful alot like of the ole saying goes  "  you have the blind leading the blind " ...

... etc.,etc, & etc..

    • The problem that Bryce faces is his lack of prototypical tools.  He's not the tall, strong armed mobile QB that tends to get drafted first overall.  His game is not played in underwear on a practice field.  His best asset are his intangibles.  They aren't sexy like a cannon arm or a fast 40 yard dash. OK, so we took the lesser athlete.  Bryce put up a pretty bad season with a bad team around him.  The coaching staff, for all it's platitudes, sucked.  They made sure Bryce could run a huddle, but didn't help him get better as a player.  Bad choice. Compare that to what other teams did to their Rookies:  they put them in position to succeed with better personnel and better play calling.  Sure, there are physical differences which are going to affect the outcomes, but you can't change it. Am I trying to ride to the defense of Bryce?  Only a little.  He's my favorite team's QB, and I believe in him.  Now, he's got this year to show that he's "the No. 1 for a reason" (Thanks CJ Stroud).  Will he, won't he?  I don't know at all.  That's on the D&D crew to put Bryce is position to play well.  Running the ball is going to make things a lot easier for Bryce.  Does that discount his success if he plays well?  For some of y'all it will.  Some of y'all just don't like Bryce, like he stole you DoorDash or something. Regardless, let's see what happens in 2024.  If Bryce stinks it up, then we're going back to the QB well again.
    • we may think we know, but we don't know. we won't know what effect upgrades on the OL, coaching staff, and WR room will have. we don't know what scheme canales is going to put together. we don't know a lot of things.  that's why we play the games...to see what shakes out. plenty of reasons to think Bryce is limited this year...again. Plenty of reasons to see an improvement in his play.
    • He did not elevate the players around him, but they de-elevated their QB.  A QB like Bryce needs a system, a strong OL, a Running game, and WRs that can get open.  Call him a manager at best, but so is a point guard.  That is all we should need.  He is smart enough to grow into a very effective player.  I once saw a Coach talking about the OL--i forget who it was Schottenheimer comes to mind--and he said, you can succeed if you have one weak link on the OL.  If you get 2 weak links, success comes 10x harder.  If you get three weak links, your season is over.  Your QB is injured, and you are unemployed (paraphrasing).  I would say that we had 4 weak links (Icky does not get a pass) and a RB who was not good at pass blocking. I am not saying the Bryce is the answer at QB--but I am saying we don't know yet. I know QBs (college) and when the OL sucks, they collapse mentally over time.  That is what we saw--a QB who had never played without the advantage.
