One big thing I am noticing so far between these top 3 QBs is release point and arm.  Levis has a compact release and big arm.  Stroud is very accurate but man most of his targets are wide open.  It will be interesting to see how things go.  Young IMO is the best reader of defenses but seriously lacks size and his arm is average

Stroud overall is best for me right now but things can change

It's early but I don't understand the hype of this class vs 21' and 22'. It's crazy how overlooked Hurts was though so anything can happen. We should definitely draft another one but I think we're already down to 4 draft picks thanks to all these win now moves lol

Mark Brunell, Kurt Warner, Steve Beuerlein, Peyton Manning, Brian Griese, Dameyune Craig, Matt Hasselbeck, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, David Garrard, Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Derek Carr, Patrick Mahomes, Desmond Ridder and Aqeel Glass are the only QBs I have approved of as a potential Panthers franchise QB.

So, I approve! Go get him. He is a 20 year QB. He has 30 GWD in 8 seasons. He has never gone a season without a GWD. On pace for 75 career GWD. Current GWD record is held by Peyton and Brady at 54. He knows how to avoid taking hits and keeps his INTs down.

Of the active QBs from my approved list, Mahomes and Glass are the only QBs I would want over Carr. Brady and Rodgers I would put above Carr, but they do not have the franchise longevity that Carr has for potential career going into 2022.

    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
    • Alright man! We're here for it! Just glad you're keeping the doors open!
    • I think we've seen improvement in Bryce's performance. It still isn't up to world beater status, but in Canales defense, he can say that the limitations of the player were hit. I think he survives that even if Bryce doesn't. Still, I think it's a 50/50 shot for Bryce to make it. QB is one of the toughest jobs to do in the sports world, if not the most, so the failure rate is really high, no matter the pedigree. Heck, Archie Manning gets a lot of credit as a great QB but anyone who saw his career in motion knows he wasn't really that good and he was surrounded by bottom of the bowl players. He did get it figured out with his sons, though. That grandson... maybe.
